Christof Loy directs Il Trittico in Paris [live]
Christof Loy's production of Il Trittico was the highlight of the Salzburg Festival in the summer of 2022. In Paris, the team spirit is still intact and the cast surrounding Lithuanian prima donna Asmik Grigorian has hardly changed. With her three female roles, she elicits a standing ovation every night. Leaving the performance, it is hard to say what is most impressive: the soprano's performance or the realization that Carlo Rizzi is a formidable Puccini conductor!
