“Let the villain stay with Proserpina and Pluto.” This is the last line of the epilogue of Don Giovanni. In Munich, David Hermann took it as his starting point and staged the opera from the end. Unfortunately, his approach turned out to be a fiasco. A great Mozart evening was not in store for us, neither scenically nor musically.
