At the premiere, before the start, “Cessate il fuoco” (cease fire) was displayed, followed by a quote from Simon Boccanegra: “E vo gridando pace! E vo gridando amor!” (And I cry peace! And I cry love!). It was an initiative of the Scala employees while a demonstration in support of Palestine was taking place in the streets. Who was the target of this silent action? The junta in Kiev or the rogue state of Israel? Nothing of this was shown in the streamed performance of june 13th.
